About Me
Hi, I’m Nicole!
I’m an experience designer, graphic designer, & model based in Chicago, IL. ︎I started my creative journey at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2014. I graduated with a BFA in studio arts, drawing mostly comics in my last year. After years of working as a barista/dog walker, I decided to keep learning more about digital forms of art & design. I started researching to see if there was a way to integrate my art & design background into tech. Since then, I haven’t stopped imagining how to create more of a connection between technology and human choices. I started taking a course with DesignLab in 2021 and have put my heart into empathizing & researching UX solutions for everyone. If I can craft the perfect experience for someone out there - I’ve done my job.
I believe design is for everyone and should be whimsical, yet accesible for all. I specialize in accessibility, UX research techniques, information architecture, UI & graphic design, etc. My major influences in my personal work are Basquiat, abstractions, bold graphic prints, and brutalist web design. When not designing, I’m out walking my dog, Cosmo, or deepdiving into obscure wikipedia articles.
